Privacy Policy

For the Guitar Practice Timer app and the guitarpracticetimer.com website.

The app collects nothing. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no networking code of any kind. It cannot send data anywhere because there is no code in it capable of doing so, and you can verify that in the public source.

The app

Guitar Practice Timer runs entirely on your device. Specifically:

Because nothing is collected, there is nothing to share, sell, or hand over, and nothing to delete on request.

The website

The website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. This sets cookies in your browser and sends Google an anonymised record of the pages you view. It is used only to understand whether the site is useful, and it is not linked to any identity.

You can block this with any ad or tracker blocker, or with your browser's "Do Not Track" setting, and the site will work exactly as before.

The website and the app are separate. Nothing described in this section happens inside the app.

Downloads

Application downloads are hosted on GitHub. When you download a release, GitHub receives the request as it would for any website, under GitHub's own privacy statement.

Voluntary support payments

If you choose to support the project, payment is handled entirely by Stripe or PayPal. You enter your details on their systems, under their privacy policies. I never see or store your card details, and the thank-you page you land on afterwards does not know who you are.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date below. Any change that affects what the app itself does would also appear in the changelog.

Contact

Questions about this policy can be raised as an issue or a discussion on the project's GitHub repository.
